I discovered stop-motion animation initially through a printmaking course and its still my favourite way to animate my illustrations. I've also made minute-long smoother-transition animations from my illustrations using Adobe After Effects ('The Great Lost Love' and 'Homeless Swifts', below). I am also able to turn my illustrations into animated gifs, for example I made several featuring curlews to help their raise awareness of their population decline.
